Wednesday Night Dinner Night

Last night we went to Blaue Gans (warning: you will have to navigate to that restaurant since this link leads you to a stupid flash site). We were a day late on our Tuesday night dinner, and just picked this place on the fly. It is a German Bistro in Tribeca that had great atmosphere and very attentive service. The walls are also covered in vintage posters (one of which I had in my bedroom growing up!) They had your standard assortments of Wrstel and Schnitzels, plus a bunch of lovely daily specials "fresh from the farmer's market". I got the hanger steak special with asparagus and fingerling potatos. Doug went with the Hungarian Beef Goulash with Fresh Herbed Sple.

It was a very enjoyable restaurant that I would totally go back to - if there weren't like a million more to try! But, even still...

Yumm-o!
Thought I'd shock you by leaving a comment (what's that?)
The food on the annoying website looked so tasty. You forgot to mention what beers you had though.
Check out yesterday's NYTimes Dining Section for an article on brewskis. It mentioned a place in Park Slope called Bierkraft. Been there?

Yay! A comment! I love comments!
We actually had a lovely bottle of French Bordeaux, oddly enough.
We have not been to Beirkraft, but I just looked it up. Its a gourmet/ beer shop - we will have to check it out sometime.
Thanks for the comment!!! I do so enjoy them.
